HIV Test & STD Test London Clinic

CityDoc takes pride in offering the very latest std/sti test services at our private London Walk-In Clinic. We were one of the first std clinics in London to use the new cervical cancer vaccine. In association we have the facilities to test for the HPV wart virus for both men and women and provide in depth advice and treatment. Our London HIV testing service is extensive and includes the 10 day post contact HIV proviral test which is a very accurate early test. We use the HIV Duo test as our gold standard test and provide results within 3-4 hours at our London clinic. The HIV Duo test includes HIV 1 and HIV 2 antibodies and the p24 antigen and is one of the most accurate HIV tests available. Pre and post test counselling is offered to all our private patients. The instant HIV test allows us to give results in 60 seconds for patients seen more than 90 days after contact.

Our std/sti test clinic in London, has a philosophy of providing quick, accurate results using cutting edge lab technology and providing pre and post test support. The full extensive details of the std/sti test range at the CityDoc clinic includes chlamydia, gonorrhoea, syphilis, HIV, hep b, hpv wart virus, herpes, non specific urethritis. The full male and female std test results are generally available within 48 hrs. You can either book a same day appointment or come as a walk-in patient at either clinic. You can receive your test results through telephone contact with a doctor at the clinic or in person or by post.

Providing a patient has not passed urine for two hours prior to the std test, we can generally test without the use of any swabs! Using the latest PCR methods for detecting DNA we can employ the most accurate std test available for herpes. Other types of PCR std test which can be used include all the main organisms associated with NSU (non specific urethritis). You can receive advice about the full spectrum of testing options from your experienced private doctor during the consultation.

At our London clinic, a chlamydia/gonorrhoea test can be carried out on a simple urine sample, with results within 48 hrs. Treatment for common std conditions such as chlamydia can be dispensed directly from our pharmacy.

You will have an in depth consultation included as part of the service and each vaccine is administered by an experienced private doctor or nurse. The single vaccine is sourced either from Sanofi Pasteur (measles/rubella) or Merck (mumps).
