The company has grown considerably since 2006 as a result of our reputation and high quality of care. We now have over 70,000 registered clients across our expanding network of clinics. Our first Flagship clinic was established in 2006 in Moorgate, followed by further clinics in the Harley Street medical area and Birmingham. We are proud to offer private STD testing, private HIV tests and travel clinics all in the London area.

CityDoc’s particular areas of expertise include travel medicine, with travel clinics in London as well as other areas, private general practice and sexual health testing, including STD tests and HIV tests. We were the first private clinic in the UK to provide instant HIV testing for clients in the pharmacy setting through our partnership with Superdrug.

Medical Directors

Citydoc was founded by Dr James Ghalaey and Dr Eoghan Macsweeney in 2006. They both had a background as experienced NHS GPs and had a vision to transform the landscape of private general practice. The main goal is to provide fast, professional and affordable health care to clients of all ages across the UK. Our ground breaking partnership with Superdrug accelerated the growth of our clinics, enabling us to provide services such as last minute travel vaccines, cervical cancer vaccines and 60 second instant HIV testing at more than 20 locations across the UK. The directors oversee clinical governance across the CityDoc network to ensure the highest standards of care are achieved. Our team of experienced practitioners are constantly striving to ensure that the latest advances in healthcare are available to all our clients, we also have a London walk in clinic service. We have developed a close relationship with a prestigious private laboratory in Harley Street to enable us to continue to lead the way in providing fast and accurate results for our clients.
